I'm Abu Mahdi, one of the writers of this blog. I was raised in the US and am a fluent speaker and writer of English. I have a BA in English literature and an MA in English language teaching. I have done extensive research on Islam and the Quran. I am also a teacher and reciter of the Quran in the field of reading the Quran, tajweed, and maqamat.
